Formed in 1988, Dykes On Bikes Sydney is Australia’s longest-running female-identified motorcycle club and an undeniable pillar of local queer culture.

Their iconic position leading the Sydney Mardi Gras Parade began in 1991. What started as a practical move to prevent air-cooled engines from overheating quickly turned into one of the city’s most anticipated annual traditions.

Beyond Oxford Street, the club is a vital grassroots network. They host regular group rides across NSW, raise funds for community charities, and provide a welcoming space for female-identified and gender-queer riders of all experience levels.

Dykes on Bikes Sydney continues to embody visibility, solidarity, and community strength, proving year after year what it truly means to Ride with Pride. 🏍️
